RE: Friction Testing of HP234 Anti-Friction Metal Conditioner

I have completed the friction tests on the HP234 Anti-Friction chemical. The tests were done using a Timken Bearing Direct Load Friction Tester. Falex Test Rings (S-25 SAE 4620 Steel) and Falex Test Rolls (F-54149) were used to do the friction tests. The HP234 chemical was blended with Mobil Oil 10W-30 Engine Oil at a concentration of 6 Wt. % (60,000 ppm) as recommended by the manufacturer (2 fluid oz/quart oil).

The test results are shown in Table 1. The test results show that the control sample (Mobil Oil 10W-30) supported 4974 g load before the electric motor stalled out. The wear scar was determined to be 5.25 mm in length and 3.0 mm in width.

The HP234 Anti-Friction chemical was shown to increase the load bearing capacity of the engine oil significantly. The engine oil with HP234 additive supported a load of 6693 g without the electric motor stalling out. The wear scar was found to be less than the control sample with a wear scar of 3.0 mm length and 2.0 mm width. The test was repeated (Run # 3 and #4) at a much higher loading of 12,425 g without the electric motor stalling out. The wear scar increased only marginally to 4.0 mm length and 3.0 mm width.

In conclusion, the HP234 Anti-Friction chemical has been shown to increase the load-bearing capacity of the engine oil as compared to the engine oil without the additive.

HP234
HOW HP234 WORKS
WHERE METAL MEETS METAL

HP234 is transported to friction points in a carrier such as Oil, Grease, Freon, Hydraulic Fluid, etc...

The initial treatment starts when normal pressure, friction and heat (minimum of 130°F) between moving metal surfaces activate the

THE HP234 ION

FRICTION FINDER/ FRICTION FIGHTER

HP234 penetrates 3 to 5 microns deep into the microscopic pores of ferrous based metals. The treated surface is now denser and smoother, thereby reducing friction by up to 75%. This surface conditioning is extremely durable withstanding engine dry start and lubrication starvation problems. The result is minimum metal wear, giving maximum engine, gear and equipment life.

HOW HP234 SOLVES PRE-LUBE PROBLEMS

Without a doubt, the greatest amount of engine wear occurs during initial start-up. Tests conducted by McDonnell Douglas and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has indicated that a great deal of engine wear takes place in a few seconds of cranking time when the engine is first started. Think of it this way: The last time you drove your vehicle, the warm engine caused the oil to flow freely from the engine to the oil pan when parked. With a warm engine this happens in a few seconds. The next time the engine is started up cold, the oil now is in the oil pan, thick and cold. Since cold oil doesn't flow as easily as warm oil, you may notice that it takes a few seconds for the oil pressure gauge to rise, or for the indicator light to go out. This results in oil starvation during these few seconds. It is estimated that the first 30 seconds after a cold start up is equal to a 500 mile drive, insofar as bearing wear is concerned. To solve this problem, add 2 fl. oz of HP234 engine treatment to each quart of engine oil, petroleum or synthetic (initially then 1 oz per quart as a maintenance treatment). For either gas or diesel engines HP234 enables oil changes to be extended as well as reducing start up wear by 60% to 75%. HP234 treats the metal 3 to 5 microns deep. HP234 metal conditioner treats the metal thus allowing pre-lubing of the engine before cranking. Protect your engine with HP234 the friction fighter.

HP234
Your Friction Fighter

Cars, Trucks, Recreational Vehicles,
Generators, And Motor Coaches (Gas or Diesel)

HP234 is an anti-friction metal conditioner using oil, transmission fluid, air-conditioning oil and freon, power steering fluid, hydraulic fluid, grease and water as a carrier to reach points where you have pressure and heat. HP234 goes to work on these points reducing friction on ferrous-based metals up to 75%.

HP234 does not contain graphite, moly or TFE. Being a metal conditioner it treats the metal 3 to 5 microns deep leaving a residual friction fighter behind so engines do not experience the problem of "Dry Starting" HP234 withstands temperatures exceeding 1500 degrees and makes cold starting easier even in sub zero temperatures.

BENEFITS
A. Improved Fuel Mileage
B. Increased Power
G. Lower Operating Temperatures
D. Extending Life of Engine and Parts
E. Lower Running Temperatures

NEW & USED ENGINE TREATMENT
For the initial shock treatment 2 oz. of HP234 per quart of your engine oil. Thereafter add 1 oz. of HP234 per quart of oil every 10,000 miles or every third oil change. Oil changes can be extended two to three even four times your normal changing intervals, depending on type of oil, driving habits, and always follow your manufacturer's recommendations if equipment is under warranty, See your local HP234 Dealer for information. Normal air & oil filter changes is a must.

TRANSMISSIONS
HP234 reduces the heat in automatic or standard transmissions, allowing the gears, valves and bearings to perform smoother enabling longer life and peak performance out of your transmissions.
Application: Standard transmissions, 5 oz. HP234 blended in your gear oil.*
Automatic transmissions, 3 oz. HP234 to your transmission fluid*
Repeat treatment at service intervals or every 40,000 miles.

ADDITIONAL HP234 TREATMENT AREAS

Differentials: 2 oz. of HP234 per quart in oil 80W or less and 4 oz. of HP234 per quart in 90W oils and heavier.*

CVC Joints: Most CVC joints have rubber boots and HP234 can be injected with a syringe and then resealed with silicone.

Power Steering: 1 oz. of HP234 to existing fluid.

Air Conditioning: 1 oz of HP234 injected directly into the system while recharging with freon. This will reduce heat, friction and costly power from your engine.

Generators: Initial treatment 2 z. per quart of oil, thereafter 1 oz. per quart of oil for every 1500 hours.*

*Blend with a small amount of fluid prior to installation.
